So, after experimenting with different ways to put a family journal together, I think I have decided on the simplest way. I am going to get a plain large 3 ring binder (the kind with a clear pocket on the outside so that I can decorate a page and slip it in to make a cover). I will make the calendar and other pages 8 1/2 x 11 and print them on card stock so I will not have to do any cutting or gluing. I will still make up cute divider pages, and now I can also include scrapbook pages that I will make for each holiday, and random pictures to go with random dates and activities. I am excited to try it this way.
Plus... instead of doing a new book for each
year, I can just keep adding years to the same binder till it is full, and then make a new one. Let me know if anyone else wants a copy of my blank calendar and journaling pages and I'll put a link on the blog for them.ps... I tried using a notebook and adding the pages to that, but there was really no room for expading, so after a while the pages wouldn't turn very well.
