Anniversary

Eleven years ago today, Shannon and I were married. We had a pretty rough couple of years in the beginning and there were several times when I thought to myself, "It's no wonder there are so many divorces...because divorce would sure be alot easier than this." In Shannon and mine's case, love was blind, and we discovered ALOT about each other soon after we were married (not necessarily things we liked). On top of that, Michael came to live with us in August, and Shannon and I did not agree on how Michael should be raised. But being the wonderful husband that he is, he let me do it my way. Looking back there are many things I would have done different, but who doesn't say that at one point or other in their life. It took us quite a while to figure out the ready-made family thing, but having such a loving and supportive husband sure made it easier. I have discovered that I am very opinionated and stubborn. I want things done my way, because of course my way is the best! Shannon just says, "Happy wife, happy life", so I usually get my way. He really is the greatest! We may have our differences, but we work well together. I am so blessed to have him in my life.
