5 years old

Preston turned 5 on Tuesday. It's hard for me to accept.....he's still my baby. He was so excited for his birthday to come, he has been asking "how many days" for the past 3 months or so. I think I over bought on presents, but he's still at that great age where everything is fun and exciting. He got a box of Lucky Charms in his Brithday Box and said "It's just what I wanted". He said that with practically every gift he opened, and then he kept thanking me all day and the next for giving him the presents. What a great kid! You just can't help but love him! Preston had an exciting and busy day. We went to McDonald's (the new one with the play area of course) with his best friend Topher, then Topher came over to play until school was out. Later we opened presents and had cake. Preston told me the night before that he didn't want cupcakes, he wanted a cake with Lego men and Lego Rock Monsters, so I tried my hand at fondant. It was kind of cool. Preston was happy with the results, but I think it would have been better if I had had more notice. We had a t-ball game that night and Preston was the catcher. It was fun watching him walk in the gear. Here's a picture of Preston sliding in to home....We love having Preston in the family, he makes a great last kid... he is so funny and sooooo social. He loves to talk to people. It doesn't matter how old or young they are, if they'll listen, he'll talk. He has the greatest imagination! I love that about him. But the best part is that he still likes to cuddle and he's still small enough to do it!
