Spencer

Spencer is loving Cub Scouts. Shannon is still his leader. For various reasons, our Ward cancelled Pack Meetings for 2 months, so in September, Spencer finally received his Bobcat. This week, he received his Wolf. We are so proud of him. He is a really hard worker.

On another note, Spencer is also very strong willed and has a mind of his own. For the past month, whenever I have asked him to do his laundry, reading, or take a shower, his reply to me was, "I don't have to, you just want me to." UGH!! What do you say to that. Of course he is right, but he's not supposed to know that. He's too smart for his own good. So, here's how I ended up handling it... the boys usually ask me to take them to bed at night, so one night when Spencer asked me, I said, "I don't have to, you just want me to." Boy he didn't like that, and I haven't heard him say it since then.

Spencer just finished up the flag football season. He had a fun time even though he wanted to quit and we would't let him. I'm not so sure he'll move on to tackle next year, but he always had a great time when he pulled a flag and got to run the ball, which he usually did at least once a game.

I was able to accompany Spencer and his 3rd grade class on a field trip to the Ag Expo at a local High School. They had a lot of cool information for the kids.

Here's a little video they showed...for that farmer in all of us! I thought it was really cute.

Spencer also had some fun with his friend creating this zombie for our front yard.
