Being Safe

In the past two weeks, there have been two house fires in our neighborhood. Kind of scary. Luckily, no one was harmed. It reminded me that accidents can happen at any time...like the time I recently left my flat iron on all day. UGH! So for Family Home Evening, we worked on a scouting achievement for Spencer on Safety and spent time with the boys going over escape routes, safety procedures, etc.  We even had the boys work together to get out their bedroom window all by themselves and through the gate and across the street to our designated meeting spot. I was impressed with how well they did and what they remembered from previous conversations.
