Happenings...

You may have noticed in the past posts, that Spencer has a mo-hawk. During the last round of haircuts, Preston asked for one, and as much as I don't want to give them to the boys I don't want to fight about hairstyles, so I gave him one. Fortunately, he has some really funky hair growth patterns and it did not look good at all, so we ended up buzzing his head.

Michael recently had 2 large moles removed from his back. Turns out they were pre-cancerous. He told us this after all was said and done. Michael also moved out this weekend. He moved in with a friend who has an apartment down in Garden City. Not so far that he won't be coming home to do laundry.

After two years of night, weekend, and summer classes, Shannon received his diploma from BSU!  He now has his Bachelors of Applied Science. What will he do with this degree? Probably nothing. But we felt that if anything were to ever happen with his job at Winco, he would need at least a bachelors to compete in the current job market.

My sister Emily recently posted about her clothes shopping excursion to the thrift stores, so I thought I'd share what happened to me. This past week I took a load of stuff to Deseret Industries (thrift store). I decided to go inside and see if I could find anything good. Anyone who knows me really well, knows that I HATE clothes shopping, and that is why my closet consist of: 2 pairs of pants, 7 shirts (not all of them fit), 2 dresses, and a few skirts (but not all have a shirt to match, so I can't wear them).  Anyways, I was looking at sweaters, and clothing kept slipping off their hangers onto the ground, and being the courteous shopper that I am, I would pick them up and put them back on. Well, on one occasion, as I bent down to pick up a sweater, I heard a nice rip! Just great! The one pair of pants that almost fit me now had a nice rip in the inseam. I really hadn't planned on looking for pants, especially since I don't usually find much in that department at thrift stores. But it must have been my lucky day, because after trying on about 10 pairs, I found a pair that not only fit, but were stylish! I also ended up buying a cute green sweater, I just hope the pattern hasn't already gone out of style : )

  4. That was an eventful post! Way to go on the DI shopping. Make sure Michael continues to see a dermatologist regularly. Melanoma is super ugly. He also needs to always wear sunscreen. melanoma is one of the most deadly cancers. My step-dad has terminal cancer now that started with a cancerous mole.
