I love birthdays! Especially mine, because I get to pic the dessert and dinner. My birthday is close to Valentine's Day and I'm usually working 9 to 13 hour days so we try to celebrate the week before. I was able to go to dinner (The Matador) & a movie (The Choice) with friends, spend all my birthday money on getting my hair and nails (acrylic) done, and I went out to dinner (Carino's) with my family. I ended up being able to have my birthday off so I spent the day watching movies (Austenland & hallmark shows) and making cheesecake (chocolate chip cookie dough) and dinner (Cafe Rio Style sweet pork salad). It's a good thing I took the cheesecake to work and shared or I would have ate the whole thing. I had enough pulled sweet pork, cilantro/lime rice, beans, and cilantro/lime ranch dressing to last me for lunches all week. And no, I didn't get sick of it!

I love getting to be creative at work. This little beauty is a little out of the norm of what we usually do, because most people don't spend over $200 on a flower arrangement unless it's for a wedding or a funeral.
During the holidays, my boss assigns me the job of keeping the cooler filled with arrangements for our walk-in customers.
On a side note, I received a piece of mail the other day from Boise Radiology Group. I guess they thought that since all the boys in my family have the same middle name I needed it too!
