Now that our boys are entering their pre-teens and want to have their friends over to play video games, and Shannon and I are entering our 40's and don't want to sit around and listen/watch them, we decided to add a bonus room over our garage. We hired a contractor and he came up with an amazing floor plan which added over 500 square feet and great ceiling height, along with a half bath and closet. He estimated about 8 weeks till completion, but as can be expected it took closer to 14 weeks. Unfortunately the exterior did not get painted before the weather turned, so it remains unfinished, but the interior is wonderful!
