Anniversary!

Shannon and I celebrated 15 years of marriage in May. We decided that it was probably time to go on a vacation without the boys. We choose Vegas, since I had never been there and we would have lots to do. My mom came and stayed with the boys, thank goodness. They had a really hard time and called us about 5 times a day. 

I was amazed at all the architectural features, especially the forum shops at Caesars Palace and the indoor canal at the Venetian. It was fun to see the candy statue of the Statue of Liberty (we saw three different ones). I LOVED the Bellagio Conservatory and the creative use of flowers.

To get away from the crowds one day, we went on a tour out to the Hoover Dam. Pretty amazing stuff.

Vegas was probably not the best choice of destination spots for us, what with Shannon hating crowds and all. It was definitely overwhelming, even for me. But it was a good experience and we learned a lot about what we should not do in the future.
