Spencer earned his Arrow of Light & received his Weblos rank in Cub Scouting...now it's on to Boy Scouts. He is very excited!

 

 

Spencer turned 11! His dad made him a lamp, and a new bike was his big present this year. 

Preston turned 9! His dad also made him a lamp! And he received a new bike! 

 The boys participated in the school district fun run. They loved the shirts the best!

I helped make three pinewood derby cars this year. Preston's is the Tardis, Spencer's is the gator looking one, and their friend Tyson's (who comes over in the mornings before school) is the reptile. Spencer was too old this year to race with the cub scouts, but because we only have 9 boys in our whole pack, they let family and friends race after the scouts. Tyson's car took second place. Preston's took fourth. I think I'm starting to figure out the whole car making thing. The boys sure had a lot of fun. Preston says next year his car will be aerodynamic so he can win!

You might remember that about 2 years ago, Spencer developed a bald spot on the top of his head. He has been seeing a dermatologist for about a year, and has undergone several biopsies, topical treatments, and steroid injections. After his last round of topical treatments, we have finally seen impressive hair growth. Hopefully it will not thin back out once we stop the treatment.
