Boise Temple

The Boise Idaho Temple has been closed for the past 15 months undergoing an extensive remodel. My friend Stephanie and I were lucky enough to get to volunteer in the laundry and hem baptismal clothes a few weeks before they held the open house. It was wonderful to get a sneak peak inside the temple!
Once the open house started, Shannon and I took the boys on a tour, and I loved that when we finished, Preston wanted to go through again.
Sunday it was re-dedicated. I was 10 years old when it was first dedicated, and although I don't remember much, I remember waving my white handkerchief and feeling wonderful. I still have that white hanky, and I pulled it out today to use at the re-dedication. Since Spencer is 8, he was able to obtain a special use temple recommend and go with me to our Stake Center where the re-dedication was broadcast. Even though he complained and wanted to leave, I hope that he remembers the experience.
