Back in September I started taking Piano Lessons. I somewhat remember taking them as a child, I was maybe around 10, and I think I only took them for 6 months before my teacher moved. I did play the flute all through Jr. High and High School, so I can read music pretty well. Since Preston is in half-day kindergarten, I had a little free time and I decided that since we have a piano, someone might as well get some use out of it. I have been enjoying my lesson, and was actually surprised at how much I knew.Tonight we had a piano recital, I was very nervous, the only concerts I've been in were for band, way back in the day. I played two pieces, "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Medieval Gardens". I was only able to memorize the second one, I struggled alot with the first, and trust me, I play it much better on my own piano : )
I've been trying to imbed the video's, but I'm having technical difficulties, so if you follow this link: http://vimeo.com/33578235 you can watch the good one and the not-so-good one.
Enjoy!
So proud of you! I can't wait until I can have the time to get back into music, too.
