Only three weeks left! Time is flying by...thank goodness! Here are some things Michael has wrote home about:
~ They can't eat cake anymore
~ It is the most physically and mentally challenging thing he's ever done
~ On a good night he gets 5 hours of sleep
~ He hopes the "civilians" get their act together and do things right so they can quit doing punishment exercises.
~ He goes to church so he can get away from it all
~ He misses being lazy and going to the bathroom when he wants
~ He experienced the gas chamber
~ He has started doing rifle marksmanship and earned a 5 minute phone call
~ He hates doing push ups on asphalt in 106 degree temps.
~ He misses Pizza the most and thinks about it during Physical Training and when they are being yelled at
~ He can sleep in any position
~ His big toe has been numb for 2 weeks
~ He has started night vision shooting
~ He eats more for breakfast than he used to in a whole day; 3-4 slices of bacon, half plate scrambled eggs, half plate hash browns, french toast with peanut butter and syrup, a travel size box of cereal, a yogurt, an apple, a banana, a bowl of jello, biscuits and gravy, little powdered donuts, little blueberry cinnamon rolls, 2 slices of bread, and a glass of chocolate milk. He eats all this every morning and he is still hungry! He fills his tray completely and eats it in about 5 to 7 minutes!
NO JOKE!
and
~ He is up to 156 pounds
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger??

Holy cow! Sounds like it is quite the experience for him.
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed and proud of him! Tell him that we love him. Well he would probably think that was weird but, I hope he knows it.
