May is a busy month for the Montross family. Two birthdays, Mother's Day (a big holiday at the flower shop) and our wedding anniversary (still to come).
Spencer turned 12. We opened gifts and saw the new Captain America movie.
Preston turned 10! He is into shrimp lately, so we ate at Joe's Crab Shack (we were disappointed that they discontinued their birthday acknowledgements).
Spencer received the Aaronic Priesthood at church on Mother's Day Sunday and my parents were able to come for a quick visit to be a part of his special day!
Love these pics of my mom & I.
My boys are growing up. Spencer is almost as tall as me (I've still got an 1/8" on him)
Both boys had a party this year... we did them at home and luckily the weather was in the 80's so we could do everything in the garage and outside.
Preston is loving Pokemon lately, so that was the theme he chose. Friday his friends walked home from school with him and I had the garage all set up. They played games: Pin the tail on Pikachu, Rocket Attack (dart gun game), Totodile Races (Squirt gun the cup to the end, relay race style), and a mummy toilet paper wrap and keep the balloon in the air game finished it up.
Preston has lots of friends and had a hard time narrowing it down. He started with the allowed 6 friends, but then he remembered a couple more kids, and then I realized we hadn't even invited any of the neighbor kids that he plays with all the time, so we ended up having quite the crowd, but it was fun!
I found someone to make Preston's cake this year, the pokemon Charmander. I wasn't sure I could pull of what he wanted, and it was actually a great stress relief to not have to worry about it. It turned out to be exactly what he wanted!
