Daniels Reunion 2014

Our yearly reunion was once again a success, thanks to Rebecca and her fabulous planning. It was originally going to be held in southern Utah, but since my niece Macayle was having her mission farewell the same weekend in Logan, Rebecca graciously changed the location. We spent two nights camping and having fun before heading to various homes for our last night. We had delicious food and desserts, fun games for the kids, and each family was responsible for an act for our talent show. My sister-in-law Jennifer (Scott's wife) surprised us with a visit all the way from Chile. Her cousin was getting married a few days after our reunion, lucky for us! Six out of the ten kids were able to make it, but I didn't get a picture of Rebecca's family.
Saturday night a few of us hung out at my Mom & Dad's for a couple of hours. During that short time, the boy cousins decided to turn the sprinkler on under the trampoline and then play in the dirt. They were so muddy, Shannon had to hose them off right before we left. We made them wear trash bags back to Lorinda's where we were staying the night.
Sunday was Macayle's mission farewell and it was a beautiful sacrament meeting. Another young lady spoke with her who is also going on a mission. Macayle's uncle on her mother's side sang a beautiful song, one of my favorites, "Oh Lord, My Redeemer". Macayle is going to be an awesome missionary. I loved her talk and how she knew serving a mission was right for her.
