I finally made two crafty projects that I have been wanting to do for some time now. One is a birthday balloon wreath and the other is a birthday cupcake countdown.
Here they sit in the entry way...
On the morning of his birthday, I had a "0" on Spencer's countdown, but he changed it to this...
Since he is almost 5' tall, he kind of needed a new bike, so that was his big present this year. He was excited to get one with gears and suspension.
I decided to start a new tradition. I made a questionnaire that the birthday boy fills out. Once he has it filled out, he asks the questions to the family and we see if we can guess what his answers were. It was kind of fun to see how well we knew Spencer. I think we did pretty good.
I also made a page for everyone to write different things that they love about the birthday boy...
Spencer enjoyed reading these, and now I can just slip them in a page protector and put them right in his scrapbook. I look forward to doing this for every birthday!
For dinner, Spencer picked to eat at Panda Express, his favorite place, and he ordered his favorite foods, pot stickers and orange chicken.
After dinner, we came home for some cake (well, Preston and I ate some). It took me a while to figure out how to make it, but I succeeded and he was happy!
Spencer is growing up way to fast, and it doesn't help that he is tall for his age. He is the same height that Michael was at 12, and Shannon was at 14. We sure love this kid!

love all your cute, creative stuff. The balloon wreath is so fun!
