while the boys are away... the girls will play

Shannon attempted to take the boys to the Ward Father/Sons campout. The camp site was a couple hours away, and we had never been there before, so even though he had a map and GPS, Shannon was unable to find anyone he recoginzed and ended up taking the boys to a place near Cascade where we have camped before. They had a great time until about 10:30pm when it was time to go to sleep. Preston decided that he ABSOLUTEY did NOT want to be there, and nothing could convince him otherwise. So being the wonderful father that Shannon is, he packed up the vehicle and headed home. As it turns out, Shannon actually did find the right spot for the Ward campout, he was probably just the first one there...Since the boys went off and left me all alone, I decided to have a little party! I invited several ladies (and their daughters) from the Ward over to enjoy an evening of fondue and games. All the girls pitched in and brought food for dipping, and after eating our fill we had a little "Just Dance" competition on the Wii. It was great to have some girl time and see whose got the talent! I think I'll make it a yearly tradition, that is, if Shannon attempts the Father/Sons again, hahaha
