With Christmas fast approaching, I have been busy trying to get everything done before I start working full days this week at the flower shop for the busy holiday! I tried to make things a little easier on myself this year and didn't do the traditional homemade gingerbread houses, we did graham cracker ones instead, and the boys had just as much fun!
Santa came to our Ward Christmas Dinner, and the boys got to sit on his lap briefly. They were very excited to see him. Spencer has asked for a remote control helicopter and Preston has asked for a pet Chihuahua.
For the longest time Spencer was under the impression that since Santa only brought one gift, that was all he could ask for for Christmas. I really liked that he only had one item on his list, so I never told him otherwise, until one day at the store he was getting really sad because he found another thing that he really wanted. I finally told him that besides his gift from Santa, Mom and Dad would also get him a present so he could ask for more than one thing. He was very relieved!
Michael and his girlfriend Nadra wanted to get the little boys something for Christmas and I suggested they buy Preston some Lucky Charms cereal and Spencer a bag of chips (those are their favorite foods). They wrapped them up and gave them to them early. I wished I would have had my camera on, because when Preston opened up his gift, he started jumping up and down, saying, "It's just what I always wanted!!!!" It was so cute!
I have been wanting to find some new Christmas treats for the family, and when I found these "playdough cookies" online, I just had to try them. I changed them up a little, to make them more Christmasy... I loved how they turned out, they'll make great gifts for the neighbors!
I feel privileged that you made us really awesome gingerbread houses. I love the graham cracker ones though. They are much less time consuming. They turned out cute. So did your suckers. I hope you guys have a great Christmas. Love and miss ya.

Those are great! I love the suckers. I love that the kids loved their cereal and chips too. They're so funny. Britton still will not go near Santa either, so no picture for us this year. He wrote him a letter again.
