Spencer had his 5th Birthday! We decided that it was probably time to take him to Chuck-E-Cheese, and he was glad we did. He really enjoyed it! We invited some friends who's son is only 3 day's older than Spencer. They are really good friends and usually have a lot of fun together. I like Chuck-E-Cheese for the fact that you can let your kids totally run wild with out the fear that they'll disappear. For those of you that don't know how Chuck-E-Cheese works, you cannot enter without getting matching florescent stamps . No one can leave until they have checked everyone's to make sure the kids belong to you. And every game/arcade only requires one token!
Enjoying the games!
After dinner, we returned home to open presents. Spencer had just enough time to blow out his candles before bed, so the cake eating did not happen for a couple of days. Spencer had told me that he wanted a motorcycle cake, so I decided it would be easiest to just do a makeshift dirt track with jumps and find a couple of motorcycles to put on it. He really like the final result, and I liked that it was easy!
I took the day off of work so I'd have time to make the cake, and wrap the presents and do some grocery shoping to get us by for the rest of the week, since I wouldn't be home from work till after 9:00pm most nights, and I had some phone calls to return. One of them was to our mortgage man. We decided to refinance since the rates had droped to 4.75%. He asked if we could sign the final paper work in the next couple of days, and when I told him that Wednesday was my only day of this week, he scrambled to get us in with the title company that evening. That's why we didn't end up opening presents till after dinner. The Title company office has a huge fish tank, and the boys were pretty fascinated with it, so to keep them occupied, I gave them the camera....here are some pictures Preston took...
